Hi there, I am currently insured with VHI - I am on One Plan 250 (aged 47) and the three kids on One Plan Family (15, 13 and 10) - half price offer. No health issues and have rarely if ever used our cover. Renewal this year is €1,490. My husband has insurance through work. I have looked at the HIA website and am not sure if there's similar cover out there for less? I know Laya have a promotion for kids.

I'd love some advice please.

Welcome to AAM. The nearest equivalent would be Laya Essential Health 300, which is part of the Laya special offer for children.
Details as follows;

1. Laya Essential Health 300; price 895 per adult; child price 234(pay for 1st child and the rest are free).
All public, private and Beacon hi-tech hospital covered; private hospital excess 300 x 2 max per year for all private admissions(regardless of how
many), day case excess 125 per procedure.
