Following the death of a relative over 2 years ago we've been maintaining the property as executor, whilst awaiting grant of probate. We live over 3 hours from the property.
Can these expenses, such as oil, electricity, insurance, garden maintenance, alarm etc be offset against the inheritance value of the estate for CAT purposes and if so will the valuation date (date of death or granting of probate) have any impact?
