Electricity and Gas price increase since 2008?

Does anyone know how much electricity and gas have increased since 2008 say with the ESB (Electric Ireland?) and Bord Gais for instance. Thanks.
 
Based on my bills (so, obviously dependent on the tarriff I was/am on)
Gas with Bord Gais:
January 2008: 4.509c per kWh + Standing charge 13.7c per day
December2008: 5.471c per kWh + Standing charge 14.3c per day

January 2013: 5.193c per kWh + 0.37c carbon tax per kWh + Standing charge 21.7c per day (applies on most recent bill too)

I'll dig out the electricity charge in a few minutes.
 
Electricity with ESB
January 2008: 13.24c per unit + standing charge 25.2c per day
December 2008: 15.97c per unit + standing charge 25.2c per day

Have forgotten my password so I once I get that back I will give you the current electricity figures...
 
tried cso.ie, could only find inflation figures.

Thanks so-crates, I was hoping to get a rough % increase.... I know, I know, do the math.. to tired ;-)

That would be doing all the work for you!

But looking at my figures above... The charge for gas usage at the moment is roughly the same as December 2008 (adding together the usage and the carbon tax).

Compared to January 2008 however, the charge is up about 25%-30%.

The standard charge is about 50% more than it was.
