Driving theory test

Hi

I would like to get the necessary information for my son to study for and sit the above exam. Called into reasons but came away a bit muddled by the no of books, CDs, theory test question books, different publishers.

Is there anyone out there who knows what I should buy please?

Someone mentioned to me if you do your driving lessons gthrough aviva driving teachers you can get cheaper insurance when the time comes. Has anyone done this?

There is one official theory test book named by the testing service, dtts.ie
