Dormant account query

A relative is Executor of her Mother's Will. As part of the general trawling with institutions, it appears that the deceased's husband has two dormant accounts with Ulster Bank, the balances of which are not known. Executor says that she has written to UB, but they have not responded. Is there any timeline whereby banks must respond to queries? I know that if one makes a 'complaint' to an insurance company, there are very strict timelines. Just wondering if Banks have any??

My understanding is that they had 28 days to send a claim to the NTMA and 56 days to respond to the claimant. Ulster is a mess at the minute however, bulk of the staff are gone, lots of temps/agency staff in closing down what they need to close/retain etc and the grapevine tells me they are swamped in historical queries from customers
