Which testing/matching service would be best for someone whose known relatives are from the UK?

Also, does anyone have knowledge/an opinion on the safety of privacy of the DNA data provided for these tests?

From a privacy aspect, I wouldn't use them.

Consider what you are looking for (genetic testing for disease or parentage etc) and look for reputable referral.

I got a present of one a couple of years ago. So far it's identified 3490 "cousins" or people who I share some DNA with.

From a family history perspective, I did use it to find out some things as it can link to people who have their family tree on there. Like any data sharing, you have some control over what you do and don't share

Real risk for these is that you find out something you didn't want to find out

God no, thankfully it identified me as 99.9% Munster and Cork with some rogue .01% Welsh
