Hi all,
I am new to buying property and would like some advice pls!!!!!
I bought a 2 bed apartment in south Dublin over a year ago (Oct 04). Completion date was for June 2005. I done my first snag 2 weeks ago but the snag list won't be completed till late next week at the earliest. After that I presume I will have to do a second snag. My problem I have is that the time the snag list is completed I will have to draw down my mortgage 2 weeks before Xmas. I have contacted my solicitor explaining that I would like to get my keys after xmas as I could do nothing to the house (i.e.: tiles, carpet, lights fitted) so close to xmas. He said that there is little I can do but to try hold things up as he is legally required to close the sale in the period specified.
Is there any way in which I could hold up the process a few weeks in order to get my keys after xmas??????
Any help/advice would be really appreciated.
