Hi, If you want a nice thick rope, you could go to a ships chandlers and get the real sisal stuff. Dont go the nylon route as it looks tacky. Are you doing it through drillled posts with swags?? that looks nice.
Thanks so much for that Edenjohnny, yes we are putting it through the posts. We have come across that nylan stuff but its not great... Il give these people a try anyway..

if your looking for the real thick marine rope. i got some a while ago out in howth. the chap makes fishing nets and is beside wrights. i think he charged about a tenner a metre but its about 2" thick and looks the part thru the decking posts.
