Data transfer from dead phone.

How do i transfer my data and contacts from my old damaged phone that i cant turn on, to my new phone.
I can charge it but the i have no control from the screen.

If you had it backed up onto your android or apple account, then you should be able to access it on the new phone once you input your account details on the new phone.

If you can not control the phone from the screen, then the only hope is that the contacts and data are stored in the cloud or on the SIM card rather than the phone -best of luck

You can use an OTG adaptor (make sure to get the right one for your device) and a mouse to control the screen, if that helps. Ideally though as others have said you should use your cloud based account to do the sync of contacts

The phone doesn't power on at all?
Or it does power on but cannot be controlled via the screen?
What make and model of phone is it?
