CU Loan

I have a loan with my local CU, I have about 5k in savings but dont think I have access to my savings. Is there something where I can borrow 3 times what my savings are, so if my loan was at 12k I would only need 3k in savings. would I have access to that 2k????

The 3 or 4 times savings thing isn't fixed, it depends on the CU. In general terms, if you have a loan, you can't get at your savings, fullstop. If you can pay off the loan out of your savings, then you can get at the balance.
