Advice needed please. We are in the process of trying to sell a property and are having an issue which is holding up the sale.
When the property was originally purchased our solicitors received confirmation from the Local council that all the planning conditions had been complied with, including the payment of a bond by the developer.
Our current purchasers solicitor then requested an up to date confirmation letter and now the council have replied and are saying there is no record of the bond ever having been paid!
There has been a number of communications between our solicitor on the council however very little progress is being made.
We are meeting with our solicitor next week to discuss the next steps but just looking for any opinions here.
