Cost for 50 tonne crane

Hi,

I am doing a timber frame self build and am ordering a 50 tonne crane to put up the house. Can anyone give me an idea of the cost to hire a 50 tonne crane for a day??

Just erected a timber frame last week and i was told to book a crane for one day and allow €500 for the job, it took the best part of 3 days for the crane alone. Be careful what the timber frame guys tell you, my feeling was that if they were responsible for the cost of the crane and scaffolding the job would have been done a lot sooner.
