Corporation Tax

Looking at the phenomenal results from companies like Facebook, Google etc, and the increase to 15%, the corporation tax money tree looks set for a phenomenal year.

Just might be enough to give injection to FG and FF to turn the corner on housing and push a sf gov out another few years.

Here's hoping

We could have turned the corner on housing if we taken the bold step of throwing out all the planning law and starting again. Private enterprise does not apply to housing. If it did there would be low risk in small scale developments. The issue is that all these crazy appeals makes it impossible for small developers.

Similarly our attitude for example to rail connection to Dublin Airport. It is just insane.

The Corporation Tax might evaporate before the rules get shredded eventually.

Money is not a constraint within the economy, capacity is, particularly labour capacity. Increasing spending will just cause inflation.
