Company being struck off register

I bought an engine for my car from this company [broken link removed]

But when it arrived it had no receipt/invoice with it. I called them and the phone was constantly engaged, when i did get through they said the invoice would be sent but that was 3 weeks ago. And whenever I call back and eventually get through, they say the same.
The engine according to my mechanic seems to be not the one which was described.
I did some research and found out that on the companies house uk website they may be going to be struck off the register.
I paid with visa debit, can I get my money back if this engine is faulty?

You'll be ok if you used Visa Debit. They refunded me.

Suggest you get onto Visa sharpish as any kind of action against the guys in the UK is going to be prohibitively expensive and protracted and there's a v strong chance you'll be left with nothing to show for it at the end (search for "unsecured creditor" anywhere else on the site and you'll see what I mean).

The credit card companies have contractual mechanisms in place with the merchant banks which allow them to chargeback where a contract has been materially not performed in some way (like sending the wrong engine).
