Combined travel Insurance to Syria & Lebanon

Anyone know about getting travel insurance to Syria and Lebanon in the same trip?

What is very strange is that all providers seem to class one of these two (neighbouring) countries as "Europe" (odd in itself), and the other one as "Worldwide" - thus you can't get a single policy, except at "Worldwide" rates. Even more strange is that one provider (eg. essentialtravel.ie) says that Syria is in "Europe" and "Lebanon" in "Worldwide", while another one (eg justcover.ie) says that it's Lebanon that's in "Europe" and Syria is "Worldwide" (!) Kafka would have loved it. Not only that but (at least according to justcover.ie) you can't even take out two separate policies for the time you need cover in each separate "destination" - no, you have to take out a single "Worldwide" policy from departure date from Ireland (even though you might possibly not be in the "Worldwide" destination until the last day!)

Has anyone had experience of this issue and what to do? It seems ridiculous to have to take out two policies with separate insurers each of which covers time in a country you won't be in for some part of the cover period. Thanks for any advice, need it soon.

The second insurer mmay not cover you unless you come back to Ireland briefly, depending on the T&Cs.
Why is it a problem to just get Worldwide cover for the entire period? Is it very expensive?
