Cleaning & Sealing cobblelocking

Ok...decided to bite the bullet and clean our cobblelocked drive. From what I've seen on most sites, including here, it seems to be powerwash, scrub with something like Jeyes fluid & then seal it. Just have another Q though. I've heard mention of using "sharp sand" aswell to fill in the joints again and was just wondering if it should be used before or after sealing?? It's really just that the stonework has become a bit tired looking so it would be great if I could get some of it's original colour back (the bricks are a mix of colours).
If anybody has any tips I'd really appreciate it!!!

Everything you need to know.

You might have a problem with getting the colour back as quiet often the colour will naturally fade from a lot of these type of concrete products.

I have often seen it said on this forum that cobblelock/paving blocks are high maintenance. It does not have to be. A good sweep with a stiff brush a couple/few times a year is enough to keep it looking good. Problems occur when it is not swept and dirt, weeds, lichen, algae etc are allowed to build up.

Keep it clean and it will look well for years.
