I have worked for my fathers limited company for a number of years and paid prsi at class a1. I have been let go and i am now looking to claim the dole but i am been told that because i worled for my fathers company i should not have been at class a1 and i do not qualify for the dole. I knew that if your father was a sole trader and you worked for him then you would not qualify for the dole but i was under the impression that it was totally different if you were working for a family member if it was a limited company. has anyone else ever come accross this?
