Any body got an ideas on where to source play equipment like swings & slides etc good quality that will last in an open plan common play area for a small development. We have timber ones there but our location close to the sea has meant that all metal brackets on them have rotted in about 3 years. So swings have broken ( where they eyes hold the swing), slide attachments have rotted & any metal bracing on them has also rotted leaving them dangerous.

Rosville site is not working , & the stuff we have is similar to the ones on the other site but they all have metal brackets at the top which the salt is rotting as soon as it comes out of the box. I am looking for something vandal proof so if teenagers sit on it it will not break .

Where do the councils source their playground equipment ?

bertie1,

I suggest that you ask any of your local creches where they get their playground equipment. Our creche has in the past given us a loan of brochures to look at, and although we didn't order playground equipment, it was in the brochures.
Creches tend to have heavy duty playground equipment intalled in their play areas.
