After following up some more, there looks to be a nice little loophole here:
- premium rate text service provider can break regulations at will
- regulator says "deal with service provider first"
- service provider agrees to an immediate refund, hence customer is OK
- regulator has nothing further to do
I wonder how many people actually complain?
I’m following this up with ComReg to try and get this stopped, but based on other people’s experience of them, I’m not exactly holding my breath on this…..
