Sadly no I have not won the lotto.

I got a random call today from a guy in Morocco looking to hire for these roles. I thought I would try to be nice and find out where he could go to, as it would not be something my company would deal with.

I had a look on google but it was more training related rather than people looking for jobs. Ideally I would be looking for an agency that would deal in these type of roles.

Hope someone might know of something.

Check 5 star hotels. They usually have VIP's who might need that kind of service. I know Luttrellstown Castle used a local crew for Posh & Becks wedding a while back so they might be able to pass you on details. Alternatively event organisers might know.

They used Sword Security. You can hire them for events, many students work for them during the Galway Races. They use get new staff to direct cars in the car park.

But there is a huge difference between working in security and being a bodyguard. A bodyguard may have military training and almost definitly lots of experience with weapons and martial arts.

What exactly are you looking for OP?

Do you know anybody in the army, alternatively ring your local barricks and ask for the Barricks Orderly Sergeant or maybe the quarter master they might be able to sort you out or pass you on to somebody who can, there is an Army retirees association, I think it is called ONE or something, maybe they have a list of people available for work.

Why on earth would someone ring from Morocco looking for a chauffeur / bodyguard / household staff: aren’t there plenty of very cheap domestic staff available in Morocco???

If your client wants bodyguard / close protection he would be better advised to source same much more cheaply in Morocco. Or does he want prestige / skills or employing Western firms?

The following is a link to the British Association of Private Security Companies (umbrella body for companies providing private security / military services OUTSIDE of UK) http://www.bapsc.org.uk/default.asp. It has links to big companies in this field. If your client wishes to engage a CP team plus risk assessment, intelligence services etc from one of the big companies in this area employing ex UK and other Western servicemen then he is looking at a 7 figure p.a. bill.

Not all companies will have specialised in the CP area and its best to get a company that might recruit personnel with CP backgrounds e.g. ex-Royal Military Police and former RUC members have a good rep in this area. Also advise your client to consider French firms – they may have personnel with language and cultural skills.

By the way I like the suggestions above.

Micmlco I have no doubt Sword Security’s students have garnered many useful skills from marshalling car parks. No doubt these skills are easily transferable to providing close protection to North African businessmen. Just the chaps to have handy when fending off heavily armed kidnappers or business rivals etc in the Casbah. And sorry Patspost I don’t think the Irish Army pass out details of guns to hire to casual callers (that said am not member / ex-member of IDF). Why not ring the Gardai and ask if they are any Special Branch protection offers looking for a nixer?).
