Car rental dilemma if flight cancelled due to ash

I am about to rent a car from www.carjet.com in Spain.

What is the situation with payment should my holiday get cancelled due to the volcanic ash? I can't find it in the small print.

Not sure about Car Jet, but with Auto Europe (who run a very similar business) during the first round of Ash disruption I was forced to cancel a trip where I'd already booked pre-paid car hire with Auto Europe ... At the time they were offering free rebooking or full refunds without question ... I imagine carjet would probably have done the same, but I can't say 100%

With doyouspain, who I have used several times, you pay for the car on collection ( no booking deposit either ) and you can cancel the booking without penalty if you give 24 hours notice.

+1 to recommend doyouspain. Check also autoreisen.es if you need to rent the car in the Canaries (it turned to be even cheaper than doyouspain last time I checked).
