Can't record to sky plus

I am having a problem recording to sky plus. If I record the channel I'm watching and then try to watch another channel, the message, "no signal being received" comes up. I had this problem before and was able to solve it by going to Sky News. But this does not seem to help now. I've also turned it off and on again and checked the connections. I would be glad of any suggestions.

ring sky. they should be able to do some dianostic tests.

Could be a problem with one of the ports on your lnb.

Do you have easy access to the dish ?

i had that problem last week.its turned out that one of the cable coming from the dish was cracked somewhere and had to be replaced.you also could have a loose connection either side of the cable at the dish or box.its cable input 2 i think.
