Cannot send messages off nokia 6700

Having trouble sending messages, can receive them and make calls no problem, would anyone have any ideas? would it be anything to do with message centre number?
 
O2, have tried everything, will have to bring it back to them and gert them to reset the Message cent number,

No you don't have to, just follow this:

Menu->Messages->Message Settings->Text Messages->Sending Profile->Default Profile->Message Centre Number

Replace whatever number is there with this O2 message centre number:+353868002000

And Voila!! (or at least it should be) ;-)

bUT I HAVE TRIED ALL THAT. PROBLEM IS, IT WONT LET ME CHANGE THE MESSAGE CENT NUMBER WHICH CURRENTLY HAS THE NUMBER 1 IN IT ONLY. WHEN I TRY CHANGE IT TO THE o2 NUMBER, IT KEEPS SAYING 'INVALID PROCEDURE' AND ERROR READING FROM sIM CARD.

Sorry for capitals, only just read it back now! lol
 
Sounds like a faulty phone as this has nothing to do with the sim,

Did you try a "factory reset" and then the above procedure?
 
Hi,

Yes I tried the reset, holding 3, * and call button, still no luck! I may bring it back next week!
