MY limited company was not at all active last year - the only thing in it is bank fees.

My accountant wants to charge me €1500 for submitting it this year. That seems a lot to me - he says it is the minimum fee.

I am not an accountant - is there any easy way tailored to the lay man where i can submit myself?
OR doe anyone know of a firm that does it really cheaply for dormant companies?

If there was an active bank account with transactions, it wasn't actually dormant.

Of course you can prepare your own accounts, companies office return, and Revenue return(s), but you will need to be careful as regards deadline dates etc as a late companies office return can be very messy to tidy up.

You should also seriously consider closing down the company by Voluntary Strike-Off, if you have no use for it going forward.

€1.5k doesn't sound excessive for getting the job done properly and having the peace of mind that it's not going to come back to haunt you.
