Hi

I am considering buying a house on St Attracta's Road in Cabra. Does anybody know what this road and Cabra in general as an area are like?
In particular is the area south of Fassaugh Avenue significantly better than the northern side.

Thanks for your help

Hi Andy,

I think that it's more a case of East Cabra (the Phibsborough side) being better than West Cabra. I know of some people who had problems on St. Attracta Road due to annoying younger residents throwing stones at their window, but it always seemed okay to me anytime I was in the area. It's definitely not all bad. It's convenient and the houses are very sound, being ex-corporation. South of Fassaugh Avenue and the roads close to New Cabra Road are very good and I can recommend this part of Cabra as one of the few parts of Dublin where you can get a half decent house for less than 400,000 euro. If you can stretch to this part of Cabra, then I think you'll find yourself in a nicer area.

Good luck,
Budapest
