Thinking of heading to Belfast to check out applicanes for new house...anyone know if its better value or am I mad?
 
Chances are you are wise rather than mad - but make a few calls & compare prices like with like, model for model beforehand to make sure.
NI isn't always cheaper.

Factor in fuel costs too!
 
I am buying a rangemaster (leckie one), an integrated dishwasher, an integrated fridge freezer. Got two quotes down here. (knew what brands and serial numbers). Rang two places in the north. Hardys came out at costing me E1k less. And deliver for E50. Less then the price of a trip up north. All done via phone and internet.

Just be careful that warranties for stuff you buy up there are enforceable for your address in the South.
 
they are if you buy Neff and Rangemaster. (but be careful to register that you've purchased those goods too).
 
i too bought from hardy's - samsung telly r'master duel fuel range cooker and integrated micro. great value!
