Bringing dog to Ireland

Hello,

My girlfriend has been given a gift of 2 dogs for her birthday - bad news is that the dogs are in Slovakia, we are in Ireland.

Any ideas how we can transport the dogs to Ireland. Local Slovak transport company charging €700 for the 2 dogs (who weigh a total of 1.5 kilos).

I know the pet passport / microchipping procuedures etc but i am more interested in the logistics (ferry / plane etc). Any advice appreciated, or details of anyone who might happen to be driving through Slovakia this summer ha ha

hi last summer was visiting my daughters father in czech rep.3hrs from slovakia.my lung colapsed and had to go to hospital for 6 days.wasnt able to fly so we had to drive to france 19hrs (470e inc toll bridges) then ferry it to rosslare.cabin 247 for 3 people or 60e for seat.16 hrs .its a long time to travel so probably worth your while to pay the 700e.
