Hi all
I have a problem with 2 bouncers on a nightclub in town i frequent on occasion , apparently someone thought it would be funny to tell them i go to Escorts(Prostitutes) , so when i talk to any girl there straight over to the girl "How do you know him, he goes to escorts etc"

this is causing extreme embarrassment and i was told it nearly led to another guy trying to beat me up for some reason(i think there trying to give the indication that i am going to be a rapist or something??)

I have a number of witness`s and i am thinking of brigning a hidden camera so i can catch them doing it.

What other advice can you give me??

Welcome to AAM, Uns0lved.

Have you thought about approaching the bouncers and asking them to stop, or you'll complain to the owner of the nightclub and sue if necessary? It strikes me that bringing a hidden camera into the place is likely to rebound on you.

turn the posts on them by accusing them of dealing drugs! same isnt it!

Dont bother approaching the bouncers, if theyre that immature they either wont listen to you or will use you approaching them as a reason to not let you in again.

Write to the owner of the niteclub, explain that you are unhappy that as a regular and loyal customer that malicious rumours are being spread about you by his staff and if it doesnt stop you will have no recourse but to seek legal advice as you cannot have your position as an upstanding citizen compromised in this way.

Sit back and wait for the free passes from the owner :)

Seriously - I did not appreciate the way a couple of bouncers treated me at a niteclub door a few years back and I wrote to the owner and recieved a very apologetic letter and a voucher for a meal on his premises.

You should write to the owner of the nightclub, explain what's going on and statethat you will sue for defamation of charachter and as the nightclub is vicariously responsible for the actions of their employees during the course of their employment, you'll actually sue the company running the nightclub. That should sort that out.

That sounds very serious. You are right t o be very upset.

The first thing to do is to get the witnesses to write down and swear statements as to who said what to whom and when. You need to know they will stand over their statements. If you can find out who it was that nearly attacked you then you should get your solicitor to ask that person for a statement. Showing how their opinion of you was lowered is important.

After that I would get my solicitor to write to the nightclub and the bouncers looking for damages and and an apology.

BTW - this is predicated on the assumption that you don't and never have actually used escorts/prostitutes! It can't be defamation if it is true but the onus will be on them to show it is true.
