Bad taste radio joke

I have never been one to complain about what is aired on tv and radio but yesterday I was astonished that FM 102 104 aired a spoof phone call to a young woman called their "eye jacker"
The girl in question had recently got herself a job with ryan air but had some small debts to pay....The spoof caller from ryan air said she was in breach of her contract in having debts, the girl insisted she would pay them as soon as was possible, when she drew her first salary, again the guy said it was in breach of contract and company policy, the poor girl then almost impassionatly pleaded "but I have worked so hard to get this job"... Am I sacked asked the girl ?
the caller then asked her to return her uniform, and implied said she was ...the girl then burst into tears on national radio.
She was not made to suffer for long thankfully, but,.....Is it me being sensitive.
Who in the name of all things holy imagined that this would make for amusing radio coverage, at any time let alone in days where many people have debts, fear of losing jobs and indeed no hope of finding a job.
Very very bad taste R.T.E. in my opinion.
 
That's awful - poor girl.

What station was it? FM104 aren't RTE. Would you consider making a complaint?
 
90% of radio DJs are prats - so I wouldn't expect anything else.

Those that do this for a cheap laugh should be ashamed of themselves. And either fined or suspended - that would put it out of them.

Although to be fair, it must have been a friend that set her up.

It was her boyfriend...probably ex by now.
Mel you must go to great lengths to avoid being upset by lifes irritables...do you ever venture outdoors ?
 
Legs, if that is true the DJ or station should be sanctioned. This is an invasion of privacy which was foisted on a person who was only pulling her weight in society. What type of jerk thought this one up? Would he like his sister/daughter/mother to have been thus ridiculed?
 
Chocks away, little phases me but driving along in the van and listening to what was said I was simply gobsmacked.
I am surprised no one else heard it or at least there were no complaints about it.
I literally stopped and had to think did I REALLY just hear that.
The station were broadcasting from a certain Kays hair salon in my town of Castlebar (50th anniversary thing) I had good mind to go up there and ask who thought that to be a good idea, sorry I didnt now.
I can assure you its true, even as I say I had to ask myself twice if I actually heard what I heard !!

Sorry Caveat it was not an RTE station....just looked at the pre set on the van radio, it was a Galway based station called i 102 104.
Am not a big radio listener, just got new transport and a new radio...., was quite happy the old vans radio was banjaxed as I did enjoy the peace on the school run in the mornings untill last week....:eek::confused:
 
I think that Hector and that other racist idiot from Navan, Tommy Tiernan are involved in that radio station

Since when is 'legs akimbo' pornographic? It simply means with legs wide apart, right? Not necessarily sexual.
