Looking for opinions here. My partner's salary just about takes her into the higher income tax band. She also received free health insurance and a contribution towards gym membership. For the purposes of making an AVC, should she working off the 'notional' higher number to see how much she can put aside at the higher marginal rate or is there any limitation to actual remuneration in assessing her capacity?
