Hi, we have just bought a 2005 Astra with 80K KM on the clock. The car test drove fine. Now we find there is an intermittent problem trying to select gears, especially from stop. When this happens the clutch pedal feels sloppy like it is not disengaging the clutch properly to put the car in gear.
If we turn off the engine, select first gear, then start the car we can get going OK and can change gear whilst driving although the changes feel rough like the clutch is not disengaging but then this can disappear and all works fine. Clutch is not slipping.
This is my daughters car (her second car but first "good" car) and she is really disappointed after spending €4500, I know a little bit about cars and found this one for her and thought it was a good one!!! Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.
