Any way of seeing is Car Finance owed?

Hi, I am just wondering is there any way in checking if car finance is owed on a car. It is a private sale.

Hi,
I recently rang a Car Finance Company - I can't remember their name was offhand, but they gave me a Dublin No. to ring. On ringing they take your Debit Card No. and for a nominal fee ( I think €10.00) they will run a check on a car you intend to purchase. It could be money well spent.
