Hi All ,

I am in arrears with buy-to lets .

I completed a SFS in February and submitted it to A.I B.

Today they asked me to complete another SFS - my financial
circumstances have not changed .

What is the code of conduct covering this?

Hirobert. Some banks request it every three months. My advice is to complete it and copy it every time. Not sure of the code regarding this, but it is common practice

Very normal I see them asked for quarterly and do not see any issue, all reasonable and meets the requirements of MARP and the code of conduct on mortgage arrears.

I am told they take off the covering letter and file it, but shred the document as no one can be bothered to read it.

Oh yeah? Told by whom? That seems an odd thing to do and might be of interest to the Central Bank under MART.

If the bank want another SFS filled in - do so.
If you refuse, they can and will interpret that as 'non-cooperating',
voiding you the protect of any nice approach they might be giving you so far.

It's only a bit of paper to keep them happy. Keep a copy of what you fill in.

Remember BTL's are firmly in the cross hairs of banks.
If you have equity on the BTL's - do what needs to be done to appease the
situation.
