We have only ever been with VHI for our health insurance, currently we are finding it very expensive, would be grateful for any suggestions for similar cover, we are due to renew in January 2024.

This previous thread might give you some advice as there are a few contributions from snowyb who used to frequent AAM in the past. Not sure how things might have changed since as it dates back to 2018.

snowyb does mention these two companies who could review your cover for a fee:

The only comment I could add here is that if deciding to go with company for a review contact them well in advance like at least a month or even earlier as you may not get your phone review appointment for several weeks at this time of year.
