AIB Fixed Term

Thanks for posting this.

Last week, AIB launched "Personal Flexi Deposits" which are a new range of term deposits but they do not publish the rates on their website :rolleyes:

AIB are also not informing the NCA of the rates judging by the NCA website :rolleyes:

I am not willing to add the AIB Personal Flexi Deposits to the best buy thread unless there is backup of the rates from some reliable source.

I might pop into AIB tomorrow and ask them for a list of rates unless anyone knows where they are listed online?

I went into an AIB branch today and enquired about their new term deposir products.

After much confusion, the tellers seemed to know nothing about the new products, I finally received a printed document with the new rates, as follows:

6 Months: 2.75%
9 Months: 3.00%
1 Year: 3.35%
1 Year 6 months: 3.60%
2 years: 3.60%

Reduce the above rates by 0.25% for the 'flexi' option to withdraw from the term deposit during the term.

Nothing special about the rates especially when AIB pay 4.10% on their existing 1 year term deposit account.

No mention of the 7 month rate, I must do some more digging on this.
