AH: When 20 years exprire do you own the house or does the claw back just not apply?

When the 20 year period has expired, does anyone know if you then own the property or does it just mean the clawback no longer apply?
 
I think it just the clawback expires after 20 years. Not too sure though. It would depend on the length of your mortgage.
 
Sorry I'm not sure. It's probably best to ask the council. Which council did you go through?
 
After the 20 yrs, you would be in the same position as someone who bought their house normally. Obviously if you took your mortgage out over 30 years then you would not own the house untill the 30 years have passed. After the 20 yrs you can forget it was ever an affordable home.
