Hi,

Getting a new patio which will be 17 meters sq including steps. I need to provide the patio slabs, builder will provide the rest of the materials. Have a budget of 500 max and am clueless about types of materials.
All I know is indian sandstone and that it can be quite porous !

I am looking for :
Something low maintenance
A plain design
Ideally a rectangle slab
Something that will last , wont be slippery and is not too tricky for the builder to work with.

Any suggestion? Based inDublin

Most of the concrete and stone materials are porous but if you put on a sealer at the start and every two years or so it will protect it from the elements as well as keeping it looking relatively clean. Any good hardware will stock a pretty good brand of sealer. It is really a diy job with a roller.

Thanks

Thanks Dermot. I came across limestone slabs thati liked. What's your opinion on them? Cheers
