A quick question, my parents have 2 joint accounts and 2 individual regular saving accounts each, my father is now full time in a nursing home suffering from alzhimers and parkinsons and is no longer able to manage his financial affairs, my mother now wishes to simplify the finances and have just 2 accounts a demand acc. and a savings acc. My question is can she now combine all the accounts into these 2 or does she have to get power of attorney to access my fathers accounts.
