As I run a seasonal bnb is it possible to take credit cards for only when I am open?

For the past 20 years this was easy with the old manual machines but now with the new electronic terminal AIB wants me to sign up for 4 years and pay a monthly fee even when it is inactive.

Is there a way round this dig out for the bank ?
 
I looked into this some months ago as we are in a similiar situation but all the banks are now charging a min monthly fee, for eg AIB its €30.00 per month plus €25.00 + vat per month to hire the terminal.
