How easy is it to fit a roof box to a BMW 520?
I presume I need a fitting kit as the roof doesn't seem to have any attachments or anything to allow the fitting of a roof box?

Is it safe to fit the box without marking or scratching the roof as I'm looking at attaching to a car that I have on loan for a holiday?

Also, anybody know can you rent these boxes?

Yes you will need a kit to suit your car. If you buy your roofbox at www.micksgarage.ie they will fit it for you free of charge for you. They are based in dublin.

Anyone have experience with the roofbox make Farad. Or have any recomendations.
 
I've used Thule roof bars and bike carriers, they're always good quality.
