I have a With Profits Fund with Standard Life. I have
had it since January 2003 and my index-linked
contributions, which started at €350 per month, are
now about €400 per month. The fund is currently worth
about €18000. It has grown very little.
I would like to switch this money and my monthly
contributions to a fund that will grow more
successfully. I am prepared to take on a medium amount
of risk. I have spoken to a broker about alternatives
and he has recommended New Ireland's Trilogy 11 or
Evergreen funds as alternatives. However, the broker
used to work for New Ireland until recently, so I am a little
sceptical. Can anyone advise whether these funds
match my risk profile and are good value? Thanks.
