i have a willow kilmakock (not sure about the spelling) and lately some of the leaves have a yellow/orange powder on them and I have no clue what to use in order to treat the problem.
I went to Woodies but they have no clue. Guess I did not talk to the right person. Any of you have any ideas which product I need to buy
Thanks

Forget Woodies and get youself, and perhaps a sample leaf to a proper garden centre.

Hi Samantha
I would suspect it's willow rust, a fungal infection similar to rose rust.

Keep the tree well watered. Give it a good feed of rose fertiliser ... or other high potash fertiliser.
Collect up the affected and fallen leaves and dispose of them in the bin then spray the tree with a funicide - from the garden centre/ hardware shop ... you'll have to repeat this about 4 times at 10 day intervals.

Good luck

This happened to our willow every year. Horrid fungul infection. Was told to spray regularly with Nimrod I think it was called but to be honest, cos every year about this time it came back, we just cut in down it looked so awful!
