Working self employed while paying class a, will this effect JSB?

Hi there,

If someone was working as a Class A for a long time employee and started working as self employed at the same time and paid their Class S on this, would this have an effect on them apply for JSB if they were let go from their Class A job?

In this case the self employed work wouldnt be worth continuing if the person was let go (assuming you cant be unemployed and self employed at the same time) from their Class A work so they would give both up if they were let go.

Would anyone have any links for info on this?

my husband was self employed while he was made redundant in his job (after 6 years of employment) and was receiving his job seeker (minus whatever he earned from self employment). Hope that helps
