Hi,
I may take up offer of reasonably well paid in work in London for 2 months. I may be taxed in UK(unsure if paye or more likely self employed). Main question,
1) Is it academic which way I pay tax in UK. I'm resident in ireland and have to declare here and pay tax here so will just get a complete refund of tax pain in UK when leaving?
2) can I claim travel/relocation expenses to UK and accomodation, food and travel while over there? It was mentioned that I could do so by claiming civil service subsistence rates which are something like E30 a day and E100 a night for first 14 days, then E50 a night aprox up to 2 months. Is this correct? What happens if I spend more than 2 months? I read on an accounting website that I would have to discuss with revenue in this case??
Many thanks
