Hi im considering seeking a job in the US. I currently work in ireland as a IT contractor and have my own limited company set up. Im seeking people who may already have already done IT contracting in the US or know any useful information on how to approach this.
Has anybody done contracting before in the US?
What kind of visas are available to IT contractors? I've read a bit about the hb2 business visa. Can i apply for one of these or do i need to get the job first and get the company to sponsor me. If so ,should i write "seeking a visa" in my opening letter or will i sound like a refugee?
I'm interested in IT contracting - pays better than those nasty permanent jobs and sometimes lasts longer
I interested in doing it for about a year or so.is there any other visa's which i can get.
If i do get a contract can i run all the invoices through my irish company - and pay tax here and pay none in the US, or is it better to pay tax in the US?
Anybody know any good recruitment agencies?
