I have been working in oz since Nov and will go home shortly. I have been paid by my employer here and have paid tax(appears similar to amt I would pay in Ireland). At home I'm self employed. My question is should I see an accountant here to try and claim back some of my tax here as I have had legitimate business expenses or should I declare my income here to the tax authorities at home and then claim my business expenses from that side. I believe there is a tax agreement between the 2 countries. Or can I do either legally?
