Re medical card - Under EU regulations, persons who live in ROI, who pay into another EU State's Social Security system and who are not subject to Irish Social Security Legislation (i.e. not paying PRSI or in receipt of an Irish contributory pension) are entitled to a medical card for themselves and dependants.
For UK/NI workers living in the ROI, evidence of employment is sufficient when applying for the medical card. For persons living here and working in other EU states , form E106 is completed in the other EU state and is presented to the HSE with the medical card application.
