I am currently working in a privately run care home.

We have just been told we can claim money back for our uniforms which we have purchased ourselves. Well just our tunics because of the minimum wage we are on.

Great, you might think, but managment have said in order for this to happen we have to return all our old tunics in pristine condition so they can be passed on to new starters!

Why would i continually buy new tunics if my old ones were in pristine condition?

These tunics are roughly sixteen pound each. Want to claim back but they are not in pristine condition! and why should i have to return them?

Do you mean via the flat rated expenses in employment credits for certain classes of employee? Or more generally?
