My friend has just been offered a job after a year of being out of work. She had previously worked for 12 years and was made redundant, As she will be working a 3 day 12 hour shift and then 3 days off with a salary of 30k , she feels she will be entitled to JA for the days she is not working, I see her point though I doubt it,
Under the rules of jobseekers allowance that anyone who works 36 hours on intensive shifts is not considered to be eligible for JA as they are in full time employment.See next post for link.
