Hi

I'm interested in hiring someone from outside the EU for a role in my company - they are currently working on a work permit for a company here in Dublin - I was wondering if this process is complicated and long to get them moved over.

There are 3 ways to get work permit .
1. New work permit
2. Spousal work permit ( very fast , takes less then 10 days. No need to pay any fees, no need for FAS ad and no need to put ad in the paper)
3. Apply green card for your employee. ( Depends on salary you are offering should be more then 30K)

If the person you are willing to hire is qualifed for spousal work permit scheme you should go with that process.
